What To Post About On Your Mom Blog About Your Family’s RV Trip

If you run a mom blog, you should know full well that a family RV trip is far too big of an opportunity to pass up to write about.

In fact, you can probably get multiple posts out of a single RV trip, even if it’s only a quick…

The tradition…

I have myself made a mistake on my blog. I used another's post about a company and the giveaways they were having. I didn't link to her. At the time, I never thought that would be wrong. I've been blogging for around 3 months, and know you can steal personal content, but I thought since it was about a well known company it would be okay. So when she emailed me about it, I immediately removed the post. I didn't "steal" anything on purpose.

Have any of you ladies ever done anything when you first started out that was wrong? I've completely apologized and done what she told me to, and now I'm being called ignorant and a thief. I really didn't mean to do any wrong, and I feel terrible about it once I'd found out. What should I do?

I've done something similar. I posted a link to the new Toys R Us daily deals page but never mentioned the actual web address. Later that day it was made perfectly clear to me that they wanted toys.com somewhere on the site. I was really apologetic and was pretty worked up over it. Looking back, there's no reason why they should have been upset - I was giving them free advertising. I apologized. I fixed it. Now I'm just moving on!
I once used a photo that I linked to on another person's site. They were not happy because by linking I was using up their bandwith. Now I email the people and ask them to send me a picture that I can use to blog about their company.

I've heard alot of bloggers have made honest mistakes. I know some do this kind of thing continuously, but I think for the most of us, it really is just a newbie mistake. Live and learn, right? :)
