I have myself made a mistake on my blog. I used another's post about a company and the giveaways they were having. I didn't link to her. At the time, I never thought that would be wrong. I've been blogging for around 3 months, and know you can steal personal content, but I thought since it was about a well known company it would be okay. So when she emailed me about it, I immediately removed the post. I didn't "steal" anything on purpose.

I've done something similar. I posted a link to the new Toys R Us daily deals page but never mentioned the actual web address. Looking back, there's no reason why they should have been upset - I was giving them free advertising. I apologized. I fixed it. Now I'm just moving on!
I once used a photo that I linked to on another person's site. They were not happy because by linking I was using up their bandwith. Now I email the people and ask them to send me a picture that I can use to blog about their company.
