Yesterday I posted a blog entry based on a recently published survey by Momcentral.com, where 1,200 moms were surveyed about where they're cutting the budget. It's not surprising that cooking in and not traveling topped the list of major cuts. How about you? What are you cutting back on these days? Have you found creative solutions to saving money and improving quality time with family?
We have been trying to cut back on eating out and we cut our newspaper subscription (we find our news online anymore, so it seemed an easy thing to cut).
We have also increased our plans for our garden this year in the hopes that it will cut our summer food budget. We subscribed to a CSA (veggies) last year, but are not doing it this year because we hope our garden will fill that need.
