Hi Monica-

A couple of suggestions.

You appear to have 2 Google follow widgets. I would nix the one at the top and move the one that's further down with friends on it up.

Are you looking to make money with your blog? Do you sell products? Alot of people use adsense to do so but honestly, it kind of devalues the blog a little. Not many pay much attention to adsense anymore.

The best for you to do is to determine the purpose of your blog and envision it based on that purpose. Then you can lay it out. Make sense?

For your posts, a great rule of thumb is to break posts up with a lot of white space and to use sub headings to lead people to read further down your blog.

Paragraphs can be as short as 2 sentences. Here's a great resource for bloggers: Copyblogger

Thanks Michelle, this is very helpful, my sister suggested the Adsense, it is a little time consuming. I should have followed my own instinct and stayed away from that. I'm not trying to make money, I thought it might help generate traffic for my topics. I guess patience is what it will take.

You're welcome. Some people use Adsense and make money with it but if its not your purpose to try and make money with it, I think it takes away from the value of your blog.

I think your content is the most important part of your blog, followed by design.
