Hey there, noticed a few people mention running and I think one that actually mentioned the C25K program. Its a great way to learn how to run 5K comfortably without burning out. It takes 9 weeks and I've just finished week 2 and looking forward to being able to run 5K by the beginning of next year.

Their are loads of other iphone apps and podcasts, but so far I've most enjoyed Carli's.
Thanks for this post. I came across couch to 5k the other day and am thinking about starting it. It looks like a great workout plan that can really bring you a long way, but at the same time not "burn you out." Hearing the feedback here is just the motivation I need.
This is the program I stumbled upon and I'm excited to start it. Been trying to find a treadmill due to lots of rain and 2 small children. Hoping to get started first of next week. Everyone having luck with this program?
Ive been doing week 1 of this for a bit on the treadmill, we we were building up/training for a Walking marathon OVERNIGHT in Manchester UK - which we did 17th April and finished in 9 hrs 40 min - Ive never ached so much !! but rather than resting on our laurels we have all signed up to do the Race for Life 5K on July 17th so am hitting the programme properly the main difference Ive found is that it is so much harder outdoors than on the treadmill - wish us luck x
