Hi there! I named the topic "Starting Fresh", because I am not new to blogging. In fact, a few years ago, I had an online boutique with my "best friend" and had a blog to go along with it. I chatted fashion, style & beauty. About 2 years ago, 3 months after I delivered my 4th baby, I discovered my husband was having an affair with that "best friend". We were best friends for 11 years and our kids were also best friends. Needless to say, I closed the boutique, stopped blogging and hit rock bottom.

Fast forward to now. With the support of wonderful friends and family, I made it through the trenches. I am now a SINGLE mom of my 4 wonderful children. I would be lying to say that I didn't think about how surreal my story is. I lost a husband, a friend and my business. However, I'm in the midst of having my blog redesigned, but I am still writing. I will continue talking about fashion, beauty (inside and out), but will also share my story and other's stories of overcoming adversity. I hope that I can show women that we are strong and can overcome just about whatever curveball is thrown to us.

Please visit my blog. I would love and appreciate your support as I continue my journey!

The last few weeks have been….interesting.  I had a big opportunity for me slip right through my fingers and losing that opportunity made me want to give up completely.  I literally felt like there was just no point to me being so determined to achieve something that didn’t appear to be working out as well as I feel it should be.  It certainly was in my own plans and delayed me in my current goals and projects and what I was trying to achieve.  I took some time and eventually came to my senses.  I am no now, nor have I ever been, a quitter.  I have worked hard to come this far and even though I don’t feel like I have come as far as I should have by now, it certainly is not where I started off at.  There are some habits that I am working on changing and as I am altering those habits I am starting to feel my mind racing with ideas again.

So please show your support and check out my latest blog posts on my Write 2 Be blog and let me know what you think.  Also please go and check out the latest issue of Write 2 Be Magazine and like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page for updates on what’s coming soon for the Magazine and how you can become a part of the magazine!

Hello!  My name is Shallon and I am a demonstrator with Stampin' UP! a paper crafting company.

I have recently taken a part time job which has allowed me more time to focus on this business.  I would love nothing more than for it to build to the point that I can work at ONLY this job.

I love what I do! I get to craft!

It would be great if you could check out my blog and follow along. I just started up my own Youtube channel as well.  Very exciting times!!

Here is the link, and thank you so much!!!!

I wasn’t very productive at all last week and this week, while I have gotten some things accomplished on my to-do list, I still did not get as much achieved as I would have liked to.  I do have updated posts on my blog that I would love for you to check out.  I shared my thoughts on writing outside the box that some try to place you in as a writer.  I wrote about my habits (good and bad) as a writer and how they either help me or hinder me in my journey.  I took time to promote some things within the Write 2 Be Media company and even to promote a couple of other up and coming businesses that I think are very worthy of being looked at.

Despite last week being a non-productive week for me I wrote about the need to still show up and move forward in your goals rather than standing still.  Some personal issues had me thinking about how I prefer to make my own route and march to my own beat but of course that does mean that you sometimes have to accept that everything is not going to come easy and you will not always be in constant movement and learn to not beat yourself up over it.

I also came to two important realizations recently and that is that even when you are in route to becoming a leader, you must first learn how to follow someone else’s lead and that if you are truly going to get where you are going you have to stop putting limits on what you can achieve.  We all have our own goals and dreams to attain but we essentially all want the same thing; to be great in what we love to do.

I hope you will check out my latest blog posts on my Write 2 Be blog and journey with me trying to make sense of this whole writing world and show your support.  Also please go and check out the latest issue of Write 2 Be Magazine and like the Write 2 Be Magazine fan page for updates on what’s coming soon for the Magazine and how you can become a part of the magazine!
