Accidental Expert, Glad you found us! I visited your blog, but couldn't leave a comment for some reason. I am so sorry you are struggling. It's tough enough to battle the medical stuff without all the financial on top of it. My son has cystic fibrosis and my mom was bipolar so I understand some of the difficulties. Please keep coming back so we can support you and give you some well-deserved humorous diversions!

I'm raising 4 kids -- two with special needs -- and am in serious need of a few good laughs.

Humor, however dark in my case, is the only way I survive. I look forward to checking out some of the blogs in this group. Check mine out at Raising Complicated Kids. In between all the serious stuff, you'll find little glimpses of humor along the way.

Hi funny moms! Just found this group and looking forward to getting more laughs in my day. Laughing burns calories, right? Can any of you relate to this?

Hey ladies! I have been so out of the loop lately! Hope everyone is having a great summer. Please tell me you chicks saw the Bachelorette last night! Ed had some ummm well....issues, to say the least. New spokesman for Viagra perhaps??

Melinda: Read your post. Super cute and soooo true!

Shannon: I agree with Melinda. Sometimes you always feel like you have to be funny, but sometime the "funny" isn't there. Writing is based according to moods. It's good to have different sides, and I always try to look for humor in the situations, even when it can be hard. Like kids screaming a Marilyn Manson fit down the hall, kicking the walls like their having a frankenstien convulsion. Yeah, it can be tricky.

Also, Ladies, If you're a Twilight junkee or have a daughter that is, and you want to know how to attract a vampire--we're giving out Twilight Bella Body Butter. Seriously, it'll have your screaming, "Bite me! Bite me! I'm type A negetive and I smell so delish!"

Good morning, ladies. Hope everyone is feeling hilarious today ... it sure makes writing blog posts a lot easier!

Speaking of, I have a new one you might want to check out! ;0)....

Christmas in July?? The sad tale of the shoeboxes and how it inspired a holiday makeover. http://parentingconfessions.com.

I've struggled with that, too, Shannon ... For the most part, I try to look for the humor even in the serious and that's reflected in my writing. But, occasionally, if there's something heavy going on in your life that just doesn't lend itself to humor, I personally think that's okay. It keeps it real. None of us can laugh at life ALL the time! ;0)

I tend to stick with the humorous side of life but things come up that are well, not so funny? What do most of you do...skip it in the blog? Look for the humor in the situation? I'm debating...do readers ALWAYS expect to see the funny stories or is a serious note in there every now and then no big deal?
