Lori, I have a 6 year old too! Mine said something funny the other day. (it must be the age) The other day, my oldest daughter (who is 9) had friends who came to our house to play with her. They are identical twin girls. (I can't tell them apart)

My daughter went off to play with them. Shortly after she left, she had another friend who came to ask to see if she could play. My 6 year old answered the door and said. "Nope, sorry, she isn't here. She went off to play with Adam and Eve."

I just thought that was so funny!

I would hate to be the girl mistaken for Adam...

Very cute, Lori! Aren't kids funny? If they weren't, none of us would have blogs, right? My daughter was teasing my son about liking a girl last night and he announced, "I DO not like Nicole! I am SINGLE!" 9 years old and single. Whew. Tha'ts a relief. ;0)

I love the bike story...funny, it sounds eerily familiar to our outings.

Just to let you know this group has encouraged me to start another, less depressing, blog about the humor of our situation. I'm almost done so stay tuned...

Thanks all!

I don't know about you ladies, but I am officially declaring summer of 2009 as: The Summer of Solicitors! I swear I get someone on my doorstep every day. (I blame the economy.)

I even had a guy go as far as drinking his cleaner to attest it was "safe". Until I see the CT scan that proves his cleaner works as an awesome "cleanse"--I ain't buying it!

A leisurely bike trip goes horribly awry ... does family "fun" really have to be this hard?! ;0) My latest post is at Maybe you'll get a good laugh out of our misfortune!

Welcome to all our new people! Hope you find some good laughs!

In fact, I have a funny story.

My husband was looking at his hair in the mirror, noticing how "thin" it was getting on top. My daughters were in the bathroom, watching him with interest as he turned and said, "Give it 5 years girls and your daddy is gonna be bald with no hair!"
Like instant water works, my girls started bawling their little hearts out crying,

My husband and I break out laughing as we look at each other and we both had the exact same thought. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't he be the one crying?

Marsha and Melinda,

Thanks so much for the good thoughts and comments. You're right, blogging is great therapy -- and much cheaper too!

I was very moved by your story - we have plenty of health issues in our family, but
I can't imagine having to deal with these things every single day. May God bless you and give you wisdom, strength, and rest, to face each tomorrow. Keep sharing - it's got to be good 'medicine' for you too!
