Are you kidding?! Jean, I'm so sorry! I KNOW what you are going through! Yikes, it's been almost a month and I'm just starting to feel normal! (My case was severe) but, I am sensitive to noises now because my hearing is returning and so things are high-pitched and they ring in my ears. Man, I hate it!

I hope you recover fast! How odd this has happened to us both! I hope you are doing well!

So, are ruptured eardrums contagious? Can you catch it online?

I went to the doctor last week and lo and behold I had ruptured my eardrum. The sad thing was, things were so busy, I didn't even notice it til a day later.

Camryn, the funny thing is, when they told me the news, I immediately thought of you. Only two differences...I didn't climb any mountains, and instead of muffling sounds, it made me even more sensitive to them. Yikes!

Hope your feeling better. This sucker hurt!

I'm jealous that Camryn shattered an eardrum. The closest I get to a mute button is when I shut the door of my Lexus on one of my kids while they're still talking.

My ladies! What has everyone been up to?? I have been MIA this last month wrapping up the summer and then CE was sick. Anyway, hope everyone is getting the kiddies off to school ok. Can't wait for those days!

Onto more important topics....has anyone been watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta? Project Runway? Thoughts?

Ouch, Camryn! That does not sound like fun (except for the sleeping well part).

It's painful! I know what little kids go through--and I'd cry all day too! It's scary to see blood trickling from your ears. We live along the rocky mountains as well, I'm used to crazy altitude but the lake we went too was over 8,000 feet above sea level.

In fact, My husband and one of my kids suffered with ear aches the entire trip. But, we're all fine. I just can't hear anything! Last night my daughter had a nightmare and tried waking me up--it was my husband who finally woke me up and said, "Honey, she wants you. She's been standing there crying for ten minutes."

I laugh because I slept soooooo good last night! I didn't even hear her until my husband woke me up :)

How high of a mountain did you climb? I'm in Colorado so we're used to the crazy altitude -- or maybe we just kid ourselves.

Hope you're OK...I know ruptured eardrums can be really painful. Hey, at least it might muffle the sound from the kids.

Take care.
