At what point does it make sense to add a stat counter to my blog? My blog is so new, I don't know that I have any readers out there. Would it be silly to add a counter now or should I wait till later?

Can anyone tell me how to combine my feeds on feedburner so I can get a total of my readers? Thanks.

I Need Your Help!

I love Sundays--always have. It's when families come together for a hearty meal, laugh out-loud, share their dreams and inspire one another.

To celebrate this wonderful day, I've been moved to begin a weekly Sunday post called "Sunday Piece of Cake." In the post, guest writers will be invited to share funny stories about their kids, poems, parenting tips, and inspirational stories--the kind of pieces that will be the equivalent of a delicious Sunday "meal."

And since a Sunday meal just isn't complete without dessert, guest writers will be asked to supply a dessert recipe along with their story--something sweet and delicious that'll put the icing on the "Sunday Piece of Cake."

If you wish to be a guest writer for "Sunday Piece of Cake," email your story or poem and recipe to

I use Statcounter for my blog - it's easy to use and free (up to 500).

I use Google Analytics. It is free and pretty easy to set up.

I use sitemeter too and it's great.

The only thing I can think of is that feedburner is not validating your site.

I use sitemeter which is pretty good (and free) for my blogspot blog and Google Analytics (also free) for my Wordpress blog. I had to move the blog onto its own domain and change hosting companies (I use but it was well worth it. HTH.

Does anyone use or really understand Feedburner? I'm beginning to think it's not worth my time. It is forever telling me I have 0 visitors and 0 views, but always 1 or 2 clicks on every post. I added a map from Feedjit to my blog, and that seems to tell me more. Any thoughts?
