Being a VA is such a rewarding gig!!! There are lots of things to consider when starting out. Since the OIVAC is this weekend and I think it's too late to register, you can still go and visit booths that are set up. Stop by the Revolution booth too and pick up some great freebies.

Good luck to you!
Thank you for the great tip! Where is this OIVAC?
Congrats on your new VA business! What is your web address? I'll go check it out if you don't mind.

I too am working on building my business, getting signed up for advertising, faxed etc. What services have you found so far that you like?
Thanks for the quick reply.

I too use Google Calendars and docs already for my personal stuff, but I think I will check out Famundo.com.

I have to go to my part time job now, but will try to check out your website later.

Mine is http://provbs.com if you want to look at it.

Have a great day!

Mary
""I have a website, CT Paralegal Virtual Assistant Services, that I just started. I'm looking for ways to obtain clients and provide services. Although the legal field is my specialty, I'm open to all types of administrative work.

Any pointers anyone to get me going for clients? At some time down the road, I want to re-do the website & take it off of freewebs. I just used it because I took my boutique Shoppes site off of it and still am paid up till next year for the no-ads part of it. April, who did your site?""

In reply to Cindi's questions:
I've been spreading the word locally for one thing and have gotten some great responses, but not any actual clients, YET. I am going to do some follow up with them in the next couple of weeks to see if I can't get something going with them. They are from various connections I've made from my previous jobs and one is my good friend and hair stylist.

The other thing I do is get my name out on the web as much as possible. I've joined two forums, vanetworking.com and mommasterminds.com. They are both full of information and tips that will help you get your name out there. Also, in addition to being here on Mom Bloggers Club, I am on Twitter, MyBlogLog, myspace and Facebook. All those social networking/bookmarking sites are a great way to get your name out there, get people to look at your site, etc. Do you have a blog, either business or personal? I have both. www.tbkksmom.blogspot.com is my personal, and www.marylutz.org is my business blog.

I set up my own website, www.provbs.com. If you need someone to get one going for you, I'd be more than happy to. You can check out my site for more info at www.provbs.com.

I hope this helps! See you around the web!
