My first picture book is now on Amazon. Now the hard work begins. I must organize a VBT!!

1. I'm sending out books and PDF's for reviews.
2. I'm lining up bloggers who are willing to host me.
3. I'm lining up prizes for the tour.
4. Now I have to think of a clever approach to the tour.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Kathy, congrats on the book, mate.  Awesome!!

Here are a few tips form my experience of Virtual tours and promoting in general.

* Most of the widely read reviewers ( not other writers) want hard copies.

* Look for some Bloggers that are outside the world of children's writing.  Bloggers who are teachers, librarians, or are home schooling parents.  Even grandmother bloggers.

* Find magazines, newspapers, and radio stations that will interview you.

* Make your answers to all those interview question different, quirky and fun.

As for a Virtual Tour with a difference. . . ?  There are so many around these days, that I think the secret is to be reviewed and interviewed by bloggers who reach a far-flung readership.
