How Moms Can be Savvy When Shopping High End

When you become a mother, there are some sacrifices you have to make. Say goodbye to free-time, your pre-baby body and, of course, the biggest loss of them all, designer items. The most exciting purchases you’ll make now are cute baby booties and miniature clothing you…

My first picture book is now on Amazon. Now the hard work begins. I must organize a VBT!!

1. I'm sending out books and PDF's for reviews.
2. I'm lining up bloggers who are willing to host me.
3. I'm lining up prizes for the tour.
4. Now I have to think of a clever approach to the tour.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Kathy, congrats on the book, mate.  Awesome!!

Here are a few tips form my experience of Virtual tours and promoting in general.

* Most of the widely read reviewers ( not other writers) want hard copies.

* Look for some Bloggers that are outside the world of children's writing.  Bloggers who are teachers, librarians, or are home schooling parents.  Even grandmother bloggers.

* Find magazines, newspapers, and radio stations that will interview you.

* Make your answers to all those interview question different, quirky and fun.

As for a Virtual Tour with a difference. . . ?  There are so many around these days, that I think the secret is to be reviewed and interviewed by bloggers who reach a far-flung readership.
