Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I can go about writing children's books? I would really like to do this. By the way I'm new to this group.

Hello everyone:

I'm a freelance writing mama of two teens and one cockapoo doggie. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. My writing work consists of essays, articles, copywriting for businesses and even some short fiction stories. But I'm attempting to write my first novel (about 29,000 words into it) and I'd love to bond with some writer mamas who have been there, done that and succeeded! Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. :o)

This forum is fantastic! I am working on my first book and recently started my blog to get a feel for writing again after having stifled my creativity as a legal writer/ lawyer. I'm hoping to get tips and feedback from all of the talent I see displayed here. Give a peek at my blog at Thank you!

Posted fresh funny blog on Mommy Lite. I hope you'll read and give me any comments!

Excerpt: "I’m Thankful for Asia”: I suppose a comment like this would surprise a parent, but not me. Last night at my sister's house we all went around the table and said what we were thankful for..."

Had an idea for the authors.

Maybe there should be a page where authors can post their book jackets, blurbs and/or links to Amazon and their blogs, and where bloggers could review the books on their blogs.

FYI, there's a great site called Backstory, where authors can promote their books via the backstory on their books. M.J. Rose, mystery author, is the brains behind the blog. Submission guidelines are posted in the purple box on the rhp of her blog.

Link included below:

I'm a member of several writing critique groups and have a friend who had a book published last year. I know how difficult it is for writers to promote their books. It can be costly in terms of time and money. Just want to help.
