I wrote a new article about free things to do on the weekend. One of the sites I write for is examiner.com and I've just been moved to the National level. I was writing about free stuff in my city anyway, it's my newest blog post so check it out please: 'Manda Blogs About...

Really?! See I have no idea what I'm striving for. I haven't seen a dime yet and I'm trying to monetize my blog. Thanks for the compliments and for any info. anyone has on how many hits advertisers look for. :)

I don't even know how to get 1500 hits a week and I'm carried in newspapers! Wow. That's awesome. Good for you.

Does anyone out there make money on their blog through the various ad programs or private advertisers? If so - this question is for you!

How many hits on a site are considered high enough or attractive enough to an advertiser? I am just starting out - I am at about 1500 hits/week.

What should my goal be before I actively pursue private advertisers? (125x125 block ads)

Thanks!

Hi Ladies.
I haven't visited here much - all this blogging takes time! I am also trying to start a business as a journaling workshop leader and it is frustratingly slow-going. Knowing people have read my blog makes my day :) Please join me at http://jlucymuses.blogspot.com

Hello everyone! It looks like I am not alone in my quest to follow my passion for writing. I've been blogging for almost two years and love making my friends and family laugh. I want to continue to improve my writing skills and hope to find support here. You can find me at www.staceysmotheringmoments.blogspot.com

Hi fellow writers!
I need your help! I am working on an article on how humor can be healing in relationships (specifically parenting relationships). I am looking for parenting anecdotes/experiences of how parents used humor to help their child cope/heal in the face of grief, failure or unexpected crisis. These don't have to be life-shattering examples. They can be about using humor in everyday situations of loss -- like not making a sports team, or being rejected by peers or losing a friendship.

My deadline to send my outline to the publication is tomorrow (Monday, the 14th). If you think that you have a story or perhaps a general philosophy about humor that works in your family, could you please email me asap at melinda@parentingconfessions.com? If it's something I think I can use, I will contact you and make arrangements for a brief phone interview.

Thank you!!
