It feels a lot like 2007. Three years ago marked the time when the vast majority of the mom blogging community shifted from personal blogging to a hybrid between personal blogging and reviewing products. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s time for innovative ideas again.
Great ideas are difficult to come by because we are limited by what we can do on the platforms we use most, from blogs to social networks to smart phones. Although new ideas may be difficult to come by, that certainly does not mean they're impossible to think up.
My prediction for 2010: The moms who spend the most time...
— thinking up new ideas that are outside the box
— tinkering with these ideas to perfection
— using their ideas across social media and mobile platforms and
— partnering with other moms and/or corporations to everyone’s benefit
... will be the most successful in 2010.
What do you think? Am I right on target, or am I all wrong in my assessment? And, I must say, new ideas don't have to be lofty ones. They can simply be tweaks to what you and all of us already do.
I believe we’re all looking for the next big idea that makes moms stop and think, “Wow, this is a really great concept and I love its execution.”
I spend a lot of my time thinking up new ideas and new ways to communicate. I personally am invigorated by the process of creating something new to share with our community. There are a lot of ideas to be launched in 2010 and I am anxiously anticipating watching them unfold.
In all honesty, I haven't really seen the new trends and ideas leap forward yet in the mom blogging community. Have you seen any new ideas in the mom blogging community yet? Are you starting anything new?
