I'm a normal mom trying to make things work. I started young, but not teen mom young so I'm kind of in that "in between space" of not being young enough to relate to the young mom's, or established and together enough to relate to the career and SAH mom's. I work full time and have 1, 4 year old pink headed monster that I love like crazy.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I'm a feminist, queer, and married to a man, and I wake up most days asking myself how I got here, which I think isn't that uncommon for most women. My blog is about that ever pervasive feeling that you're forgetting something, leaving something out, or just not quite living up to someone else's idea of what a good mom should be, and shooting it down off its self righteous branch. There are no bad mom's that care about their kids, and want to do whats best, and alot of times, what our ideals dictate, and the reality of day to day, do not line up. My philosophy is to poke fun at myself, and at those who are in a similar situation and get them to see the humor and irony in all the little ways it manifests throughout the day to day as we all try to just do the very best we can.
I have been blogging since...
