Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
My name is Amy. I'm 38, mommy to Melissa (19 months) and married to Charles (603 months). We live in the Atlanta area with a really old and surprisingly tolerant cat.
I love books, and words. I have writerly aspirations. I'm a card-carrying nerd, and proud of it. I think indie pop music is good for the soul, and I wish Anne Lamott and I could meet for regular coffee dates. I also wish I liked to cook, and I really wish I had a yard that was garden friendly (and a talent to keep plants alive).
I'm an open-minded, tolerant person with a penchant for wacky spiritual solutions to world crises. I think Obama has cute ears, and wish people would see that and stop calling him a Nazi.
My favorite word: cupcakes. I think if everyone had equal access to cupcakes every day, we'd totally solve all the problems in Africa and the Middle East.
What is your blogging philosophy?
It's your blog, and so it's your call. Don't say or do anything on someone else's blog you wouldn't want them to say or do on yours. Be polite, play fair. And if you can't think of anything nice to say, zip it and move on.
I have been blogging since...
off and on since 2005

Hi from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York. My blog offers light, witty articles on every topic imaginable and was created over a year ago. I truly designed my blog simply for the joy of sharing info. and never expected it to take off the way it has. I also never thought of adding a Followers section until now and because of all the awesome blogs listed here, I'd love to offer my readers the opportunity of connecting with you as well. So please ... come on over and see me some time. Have a great week.
