- So I wasn't really sure how to introduce myself. Do I copy and past the bio from my FB page that I worked so hard on? What about using the "Who is Apple D" section of my blog that's STILL not complete. None of that seemed personal enough so I'll just give you the short version and fill in the blanks later.
I'm a wife and a mom of 3 boys - 4 year old twins Aiden (who has autism) and Aisaiah (Isaiah with and "A" in front) and Aisaac who is 10 months old. As you can see we stuck with the "Ai" theme. My boys are the center of my world... I do a lot of complaining and fussing (hell I have 3 kids under 5 what do you expect?) but I love them to death and the potential and the necessity of their success as human beings who grow to be positive contributors to the world is why I do what I do (oh and that shoe/clothes/shopping fettish I have kind of plays a role too).
I have one brand that operated two companies. Apple Daniels is the brand, and my company Greater Vision Marketing (once its up and running) provides internet and social media marketing services for local business owners, helping them develop and brand themselves online.
My second organization is Maven On a Mission (MOM). MOM is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurship in moms through internet/social media marketing, network marketing and traditional work at home opportunities. The end goal is that moms are at home with their children.
Education wise I have a Bachelors in Business Marketing, and a Masters in HR Management. With both degrees I went through the bulk of my program pregnant and taking care of kids with only a 2-4 week break total in each program. I share that so that you'll know upfront how crazy... um... I mean... how determined (yeah that's it) I am to succeed ;o)
Keeping in the theme of crazy... I mean determined I quit my job after my maternity leave was up in February 2011 with no "real" plan of how this would work. I started doing some virtual recruiting for a staffing firm and realized virtual or not I hate corporate...
I absolutely LOVE internet marketing... it is my absolute passion, more specifically developing online brands from the ground up. I'm also a freelance writer for Associated Content and Suite 101 with formal training in Mass Media Arts, more specifically Film (screenwriting/production).
I've been told I have a "creator" personality meaning I thrive off creativity, but once it's up and running I get bored somewhere in the middle which at times makes me seem like I'm schizo but I'm not. It's a character flaw and I'm working on that not getting distracted by the shiny objects thing. Bare with me...
Am I rambling? I totally feel like I am... so how about we stop here. If there's anything I'm missing, I'll definitely fill in the blanks later. Looking forward to learning from and growing with all of you.
