Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
My adventures in blogging originally started with the intent to share my pregnancy and new baby with our family, most of whom are widely dispersed throughout the country. At the beginning, I only posted when we had a doctor appointment, got some baby gear, or when we made progress on the nursery. When my son, Ethan, was born eight weeks premature, I posted updates and pictures on the blog every single day…sometimes twice a day. It was an incredible way to let our family and friends know what was going on with our little (tiny!) man.
After Ethan came home from the NICU, I didn’t want to stop blogging! Preparing for Peanut had become my ‘public diary’ to write about all things baby, house, DIY, cooking, and family. My feelings/fears/embarrassing stories make their way in here from time to time too. I use PFP for a creative outlet—yes to write, but also to document and hold myself accountable for accomplishing all the things I love to do.
While Ethan is my number one, super supreme priority, I also make some time to try new recipes, learn new skills, become a better photographer, countless DIY home projects, and stay connected with friends. Who knows how long I’ll be lucky enough to be a ‘stay at home mom’ (still can’t get used to that term), so I want to take advantage of every second.
