Join me as I navigate the crazy journey of raising three rambunctious boys without losing my sense of fun and self. Blue hair, skulls decorating the (gulp) minivan, and sarcasm are ways I stay sane. Alcohol always helps too....
What is your blogging philosophy?
to blog about those funny, or irksome stories you think you'll remember years down the road, but know you really wont. To blog to find the humor in situations we parents face. To blog so that when my 3 children grow up and begin families of their own I can print them out, make a book for them, and let them know what they're in for... once it's too late for them to turn back ha!
I have been blogging since...

Hi from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York. My blog offers light, witty articles on every topic imaginable and was created over a year ago. I truly designed my blog simply for the joy of sharing info. and never expected it to take off the way it has. I also never thought of adding a Followers section until now and because of all the awesome blogs listed here, I'd love to offer my readers the opportunity of connecting with you as well. So please ... come on over and see me some time. Have a great weekend.

Losing a Friend

Wednsday night. long after the boys went to bed, J and I were sitting on the couch watching tv when we heard the pitter patter of feet slowly trudging down the stairs. A sniffle followed, ending in a sad sigh. We looked up at the stairs to see Ashe walking down the stairs, tears in his eyes. When we asked him what was the matter, he tearily told us that today, his best friend C told him…See More

One Leap in Life

I just returned from Xavier's fifth grade Promotion Ceremony. While the ceremony itself was cute, the implications of today are huge. In one moment, my oldest son went from being in elementary school to becoming a middle schooler.Even if you are not a parental unit, you understand what this time in life means. Middle school is such a huge transitional period for a child, that even I as an adult, can remember my time with clarity. Middle school sucked. For me, it was probably the most awkward…See More

Grossed Out

Posted on February 27, 2012 at 8:30am 1 Comment

I have three boys. And when you have three boys it takes a lot to gross you out. Puke? No problem. Poop smears? Small potatoes. Green boogers dripping out of noses? Bring it. Watching your kids lick the boogers off their faces... ok I admit that one makes me shudder.

But I just recently encountered one thing that still makes me cringe when I mentally replay the scenario and how I almost lost my tough mom pin.

Soren has reached the Independence stage in his life.…
