The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…
The day you’ve dreamed of for years has finally arrived! Your little girl is all grown up and has chosen a partner to start her life with, and you are officially a MoB -- Mother of the Bride! While congratulatory remarks are appropriate at this juncture, so are a few…
This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

They say a lady bug brings good luck so, here goes ...
I know you are right that things will not always be so hard. I am doing so much better now than I was even a month ago. God is good. Like most people, I have gone through various "tough" times over the course of my entire life that prepared me well for the pain of losing my husband. I still love him very much and I always will love him, but I am not a "desperate" type of person -- I can still be happy without him in my life. Marriage to him was difficult! I do not know why God allowed me to love such a difficult man, but I assume it was to have my two great kids. Lol. Even though I love my husband, I am actually more at peace not living with him. I most definitely walked on eggshells every single day of my marriage with him. I think the stress of it was killing me and I am so much more at peace now even though I, surprisingly, miss him. A part of me wants him back but the smarter part of me knows I need to let him go. So, I am using all of my experiences to try to help other women whose husbands have walked out on them. Life is crazy!
I am ten years older than you! I think it is neat to be only 38 and already have your children out on their own. That is neat b/c you can have a fun "second" life practically.
I hope to spend some time this evening checking out your blog some more. It is good to get to know you!
Take care!
