Charity Gigs are the Toughest, I Think.
There are just some things that are difficult to face in this life. But we do what we can to help and we count our blessings along the way.
I'm playing several charity gigs between now and the holidays. I think the three toughest ones are the Alzheimer's Memory walks I'll be playing in two different cities and this gig right here.

How important is basic music theory?
I may be stirring up the hornet's nest with my opinion that musicians should learn to read and speak the language of music. It's true that a lot of musicians have become very successful without these basic skills, but I really don't see why they never made the effort to learn.
