I used to cringe at that question. It was never asked in a kind, curious way. It was always asked with a sneer. Usually by people who lived in the world defined by the mantra “if I’m busier than you, I’m better than you” and who incorrectly assumed that my life was filled with leisurely strolls in the park, reading romance novels, and taking naps.

Ahh, so with age comes wisdom? I like what you wrote. Motherhood can be tough enough without others questioning "how we spend our time."

Because I freelance right now, I'm home often. (BTW, I'm a mother of 3) Let me tell you, I get more done than people who work in an office environment! (Because in between phone calls, computer work, meetings, etc. I still have laundry, meals and the dog beckoning me!)

Funny, I just got a book from the library which I'm hoping to read soon called "What Do You Do All Day?" by Amy Shiebe. I'll let you know her insights! Take care!
