Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I am a mother to 3 incredible souls, with another on the way any day. and soul sister to quite a few. I am a daughter to many, I am a friend to everyone. I like to have fun, play with my friends, connect with my family. I LOVE music, books are my PASSION, and writing is a hobby. I love spending time with my girlfriends. I wanna travel more, and explore more of who I really am, and what I'm really about. I am an Interfatih minister and I officiate weddings. I moved to Pennsylvania in a suburb of Pittsburgh in 2007 and have the greatest man ever in my life who loves me more than anything!

Every Wave Always Comes to Shore

My body is angry. It is resisting, pushing, shrinking back, lashing out. Angry. I guess I am too. At my body.

I know, I need to be gentle with myself. I need to accept, like my word of the year. It is hard to accept a body that fights you even when you sleep.

I am 38 weeks pregnant. My body is completely hijacked right now nurturing, growing, developing a human that needs everything I have to give to it. And so I do. I give my body everything it needs. I can't wait to see the… Continue

Being a Universal Friend

Parenting is sometimes overrated. Yes. I said it. Its hard! People long to have babies (me! me!) and then they grow up into teens. (RUN!)

I have a total teenager. He is hilarious, bright, sensitive, and full of teenage angst. He let us know at dinner that he has decided that it would be cool to become a social reject.

Huh?

We asked our 14 year old what inspired him to make this statement, and he said because popularity is stupid. Oye! I have to agree with him. He said this after… Continue

A Bun In the Oven? Someday.

Who knew it could be a challenge to get pregnant? When I was in my 20's I could get pregnant just by THINKING about babies.

I had 3 babies in a 6 year period, each roughly 3 years apart. I was 21, 24, and 27, with each delivery. The kidlings are now 8, 11, and 14.

For young women, BARELY a woman, having a baby is such a rite of passage into woman hood. It was so difficult for me in the beginning, and I am sure it is the same for every woman out there who has gone through… Continue

Dancing Mothers, Tumbling Daughters

Posted on April 15, 2009 at 9:33pm 1 Comment

When I was growing up, I always figured I would be on Broadway. I LOVED to dance. I started ballet at 5, and took lessons of tap, jazz, modern, and ballet till I was 18. I was on the drill team in high school.

I never fulfilled my dream of dancing, and of course I unsuccessfully tried to instill the love of dance in my daughter. Lesson learned the hard way! Her first few months of ballet were awkward at best. She didn't like the hard work attached, the discipline of ballet. She was… Continue
