Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I'm a quirky, Christian, "accidental" homeschool mom with three small children, one of which is a gifted child with sensory processing and attention issues. Right now we are in the middle of what feels like "diagnosis roulette," and while that is at times quite painful and trying, it can also be ridiculously funny. I try to find the humor in small moments, and I try to step back and see how my life fits within the larger story God is writing.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I have been driven to write since age 7 when I first received a creamy pink diary with a golden key. My various careers catapulted me in and out of writing for years, but when I stopped working to have children, my writing stopped, too. Blogging, however, has made writing accessible and relevant for me again. Through blogging I have found part of myself that was getting lost in the refining fire of parenting. I don't want to miss my life, and blogging reminds me of what is important and what is too funny to forget. Blogging encourages me to be authentic, empathetic, and always to be thankful.
I have been blogging since...

Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. So if you get a chance to kick back and exhale, if only for a brief moment ... come on over and see me some time.

Can so relate to "diagnosis roulette"--My daughter has mild special needs and we went through that, too. Excited to link up with other mom's on the homeschooling journey.

My 6 year old son is ALSO in the process of "diagnosis roulette"! He also has some sensory processing issues. He also has serious issues with transitioning amongst other things too.
I'm a pastor's wife from Canada and I have 3 kids. Nice to meet you!
