I'm a semi-retired marketing professional and the mother of two children (one challenging). To help make it through the day, I occasionally stop to write about my mothering experiences. I find life with my challenging child similar to a roller coaster ride. My days are colored by tremendous highs, unbelievable lows, and frequent urges to throw up. Since creating A Wild Ride, I appreciate the highs, understand the lows, and laugh out loud whenever possible.

The next day he was back, resumed his position in the hall, and slept for an hour. This continued…

PLAY TIME!

Posted on December 24, 2007 at 11:14am 0 Comments

In the spirit of the holidays, today's Blog entry focuses on PLAY. Many of us struggle during this season with children whose sensory issues can not take in all the activities, noises and smells of the season. In short, they seem to find it difficult to play.

A while back, Melitsa from Play-Activities contacted me about her site. I checked it out and…

Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. So if you get a chance to kick back and exhale, if only for a brief moment ... come on over and see me some time.
