Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I'm a wife, stay-at-home mom, home cook, marathon runner, and PhD. Advice, facts, and tidbits are constantly thrown my way. Some I take with a grain of salt, others hit me like a jalapeno pepper. And that's what this website will contain: advice (mostly about parenting and staying-at-home) that is etched in my brain long enough to make it from my mind to the keyboard. At the end of the year I hope to look back at which advice had a lasting impact, which should have had a lasting impact but didn't, and which advice I'm glad that I dismissed. I hope this website becomes a forum where we can discover how the same advice brought some of us hope and some of us despair. How the same facts elicited courage in some of us and fear in others. How the same tidbits that I chose to dismiss, changed your life for the better.

Whether it's out of insecurity or there are signs that just don't seem right, it is painful and betraying. The good news, there are also signs that strongly suggest your man is not running around. …
Whether we like it or not, we will all at one point have to wear the event planning cap. Why is that? Because we are human, and along with our humanity come life celebrations: baby showers, weddings, graduations, anniversaries, retirements, funerals, and the list goes on and on. I'm sure that I don't…
