"Hi Shauni! This is kind of up my alley and I'd loved to be able to give you some advice. I spent many months, researching the self-publishing industry - including Trafford. I had written and illustrated 6 children's books called The…"
"Natalia, you're probably well on your way by now - but I've just seen your post. When I was freelancing, many years ago in Australia (I have no idea whether times have changed or not) - the most important thing for me was what I wrote, was…"
"Thank you so much Peryl! Like I said, I wrote it years ago. I have a few others like this, and I don't really know why I gave up on it. Lack of confidence? Sick of rejection? I really need to get back on that horse!"
"Heather, I think this is really funny! And sounds like the sort of thing I loved as a kid. I don't know if anyone here read Dennis Lee's Alligator Pie, I think it's Canadian, but it reminds me of that. Love it, Heather!

What Did You Hide In My Chicken Pot Pie?
What did you hide
Deep, deep inside
My chicken pot pie?
Don't tell a lie!

I'm a 'retired' grandmother; just completed writing and illustrating a series of 6 children's books called The Waussies which will be launched internationally end March 2010.
I love oil painting, ceramics and my husband; I love my children and grandchildren and I love life!
What is your blogging philosophy?
To share and motivate; to help others achieve their potential and to realise that we must always try to be whatever we feel we can be - which doesn't necessarily mean being the best. I've been writing for children for over 30 years. I've had so many rejections - I lost count. But I always kept on going. My philosophy is: Just keep doing it!
