Mrs. Idaho International Pageant

I had the biggest pay off last night when I handed the award for being Miss Teen Idaho International 2nd runner up. I took it as a wonderful compliment!! I had a good laugh. Competing for Mrs. Idaho International

I am so excited about competing for Mrs. Idaho International. The pageant is on Aug 14th 2010. I have had such an amazing year I thought I would top it off with competing in hopes to be Mrs. Idaho 2011. I would love to have this title. I love the state I live in and I love my platform. Share a little something about yourself with other moms.: I am all about family and love spending as much time with them as possible. My 2nd passion is bringing awareness to Type II diabetes. It is near and dear to my heart. Since being diagnosed a little over 3 years ago, I have lost 100 pounds.

My struggle to control my diabetes took on a whole new light. I reached my goal weight set by my doctor and was able to be taken off all artificial means to control my diabetes. My diabetes is now under control through diet and exercise. With weight-loss and exercise, Type II Diabetes can be managed or prevented.

My success at controlling my diabetes has led to a new found dedication and passion in educating others on how to eat right & exercise. It brings me great joy to share my story with others and in doing so inspire them to “get up and get moving!”
