How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

Becoming a mom was the most profound experience of my life. Nothing will ever be the same. As much as everyone already knew this - I believe that I fell into motherhood by accident. Of course, Life says there are no accidents....go figure. My sole purpose on this planet is to share my experience and knowledge with my children in hopes they can do better and go farther than I did.
That being said, after 3 children I feel somewhat lost and blogging helps me reconnect to a core part of who I am.

Being Of Two Cultures And Belonging To Neither

For the first time in my life, I am making a sketch in print of a problem that has been on my mind for quite some time now. It is a problem that I can’t avoid just because of the circumstances of my life. The only credentials I have to reflect on the subject at all come through those circumstances, through nothing more than a set of chances; my very own experiences.…

Let's Ask Again, Who Runs The World?

There certainly is no shortage of parenting books out there.  These books show you the latest and greatest tips for everything from getting your baby to sleep through the night to good behavior in general.  And, so often I am asked by my friends if I have read a particular book, and so often, the answer is that I have not.

We Simply Cannot Afford To Forget That Nature Is Sexist.

Ok. I don’t like to come off as critical or judgmental but this topic, I believe, deserves some second thought.

As one of the most powerful and richest women in the world Oprah’s statement that she has no regrets having children does raise a few concerns, at least for me and for my daughter’s generation who will grow up emulating her success.…

HI, Julia. I love your blogging philosophy - I also find that blogging is a great way to unload my thoughts. Stop by Sorry, Mom. I didn't listen some time and say hello!
