"Hi Julie, I understand what you are going through.  I went through this 5 years ago when my daughter was off to college. I can't believe how quickly the time passed.  I prayed every day that she would make the right decisions.…"

And She's Off—To College That Is!

It's official, she's going. A few of the colleges she has dreamed of attending wrote her letters and sent her emails saying they'd be thrilled to have her. She screamed! She jumped up and down! She was elated, beyond elated! I screamed and jumped up and down with her. I was elated, but not beyond elated. Because we all know what this really means. Yep, it means that she is really going to leave. She is not sure where she will land...still waiting for letters from a few other potential options.…See More

Parking Space 604

I open the envelope and gently pull out parking sticker 604. My mind races and my heart beat quickens. That space is in the senior lot—the lot that is designated for the “old” kids, the kids who are in their last year of high school, are applying to colleges, getting to close to graduation, and then they are…leaving. Parking space 604 is for someone else’s daughter, not mine. Because my daughter couldn’t be that old, she couldn’t be getting ready to leave. They must have sent us the wrong…See More

The Toddler Years Revisited – Only Now She Has Her Driver’s License

“Letting go doesn't mean we don't care.  Letting go doesn't mean we shut down. Letting go means we stop trying to force outcomes and make people behave. It means we give up resistance to the way things are, for the moment. It means we stop trying to do the impossible--controlling that which we cannot--and instead, focus on what is possible--which usually means taking care of ourselves.  And we do this in gentleness, kindness,
and love, as much as possible.” Melody Beattie, author and…See More

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Today is my birthday. I am 44. My day starts out beautifully as I get happy birthdays from my kids and my husband gives me a very nice bracelet and my kids give me a necklace that I love. Older kids head to school and I have a little time to have coffee with my husband before getting my youngest up and ready for school (she goes to a different school). I decided to actually shower as I was going to meet some friends for coffee. Unfortunately, I was experiencing some PMS breakout action on my…See More

Welcome to Mom Blogger's Club! I hope you enjoy your time here and find it helpful! I know it can be overwhelming at first but I promise, you'll be a pro on here in no time! I write a blog called The Adventures of J-Man and MillerBug. It's a blog about my life with my two boys and I do some pretty cool giveaways (OK, I think they're cool! Do you?)

Every week I host the Finding New Friends Weekend Blog Hop and the Make My Morning Blog Hop. It's a great way to find new followers and friends as well as get to know more of your fellow mom bloggers. If you're not familiar with a blog hop, all you have to do is add your blog to the list. Participants then "hop" from blog to blog to find great new blogs! It's a ton of fun! I'd love to have you join us. One of these is going on now so come on over and link up! You can find one HERE. Be sure to leave a messge if you join up so that I can follow you back!

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you with anything in your blogging journey! I look forward to being your friend!
