Would it surprise you to know that girls are twice as likely to drop out of sporting activities through their teenage years than boys? Or to realize that most young girls start engaging in organized sports up to two whole years later than boys? …
One of the most devastating things that can happen to any family is substance abuse in any form. Anything in excess is never good for anyone. That could be anything from too much food, exercise, alcohol or even shopping. Addictive behaviors can turn relationships upside down for those who…

Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I am currently a stay-at-home mom on sabbatical from grad school. I am working towards a masters in social work so that I can be an LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker--aka a therapist. I have taken a year off of school to be at home with my son and I have loved it. It has been hard adjusting to life as a mom, but it has been a rewarding and amazing experience, I wouldn't change a single minute of it. I'm pretty sure that "the nursery" (as I shall now refer to it) has been the hardest course I've ever taken. I mean seriously, this class involves dodging projectile vomit, while trying to avoid the other end that occasionally has projectile you know what too, consistent all nighters, & random bouts of "the professor" screaming at you for no apparent reason. But one of the greatest lessons I've learned is that spit up, dirty diapers, & sleep deprivation won't kill me (at least not yet.)
What is your blogging philosophy?
I want to be as honest as I can & just have fun. I went from being a student & working to a SAHM & that has been quite an adjustment. I don't have many friends with children, so I started using blogging as a tool to reach out to other moms, to make friends who have kiddos, & to help create an activity for myself that is soley mine. I haven't been blogging long, but I'm loving it so far!
I have been blogging since...
October 2009/seriously since March 2010
