This is a Sex Story, So Cover Your Ears!

Featured in skirt! MagazineThe story I am about to tell has nothing to do with children, and very little to do with life as an expat. Those are my typical topics, but this week school started back; and well, I need some ME…See More

The Norwegian Paper Clip Myth

Returning to Norway one week after the vile actions Breivik inflicted upon Oslo, Utoya Island, and this peaceful nation in general has been somber. Not only are the horrific events in every paper, on every news report, and in everyone´s conversations, I have even heard children talking. And the stories from the children are the most moving. This morning a twelve year…See More

Wynonna Judd´s Robe

I have been without internet service the past couple of days. So, what does a blogger do when blogging is not possible? I suppose I can only speak for myself, but  neglected housework would not stop staring through me. Therefore, I began the ever dreaded spring cleaning. Wall washing, cabinet cleaning, going through the children´s clothes and toys they have out grown,…See More

I was born outside of Seattle, WA, Raised in Chipley, FL, studied in Boston, MA, discovered what life is about in Franklin, TN, and found passion in Lillehammer, Norway. I am married to the man of my dreams and we have three children that never cease to entertain. Seven years ago we purchased a home, site unseen, and hopped the pond. Living in Europe is a fantasy come true, but has it´s challenges. New languages, the metric system, lack of convenience, different school philosophies, and no service, are just a few of my daily hurdles. This and more gives me plenty to blog about. After all, it´s cheaper than therapy! By trade I am an interior designer, I chair a book club and serve on various school committees. I am addicted to yoga, and I am a writer.
What is your blogging philosophy?
Real thoughts, from the heart, on life when it smacks you in the head with a snowball.

What blogging format are you on? Blogger, Wordpress, etc.?
The code has to be an HTML editor or a widget that reads HTML to work.

Hi Kimberly,

In response to your comment on my profile, what do you mean by "getting buttons on your link." Can you be more specific? Do you mean on blog button on your MBC profile, or on your blog itself?

Let me know so I can try to help you out :-)

Has Blogging Become One Big Chore?

Have you ever looked at your blog’s dashboard and whimpered to yourself, “Oh, I just cannot in any way, shape, or form write a blog post today?”

We have all been there, right? Or, is it just me?

After eight years of blogging I have whimpered that more times than I…

How to Get Your Kids to the Dentist Without Tears, Tantrums or Throwing

Growing up, you might remember a time in your life when the only thing scarier than the boogeyman was your dentist. Over the years, you grew to appreciate your dentist and his or her service to your dental health, however, it did take you some time to grow into that mentality. Give your kids a…
