Lea said… Greetings from the Tampa Bay :) My name is Lea, and I am the author of Mother Baby Child - http://motherbabychild.blogspot.com. I started this blog to share my experience in having a baby just before my 1st son was about to turn 18 years old, as well as what life is like as a married mom after being single for so many years. I also blog about Christianity, baby and child stages, homeschooling, ADHD, Autism, Blog Marketing, etc. I share a lot on that blog during the non-summer seasons.
I also have a new healthy lifestyle choices and weight loss blog - http://burnfatloseweightgetskinnyfeelgreat.blogspot.com - to accompany my Skinny Body business. I am working hard to complete the design of this new blog, so that I can provide valuable health lifestyle and weight loss information, as well as to share a solid opportunity for moms that want / need to make money by working at home.
I invite you to explore my blogs and provide your feedback.
I have GFC and my network links on both of them.
Now that my baby is older, I have more time to meet the moms. I am really excited about this!
I look forward to reading your blog and networking with you here at MBC :)
Hugs & Blessings!

Ursula Tara Davis said… Hello Latonya,
Congratulations on deciding to homeschool your children!!!
I began homeschooling 20 years ago. The resources and tools that are available today were not available then.
My children were very content and excited during the elementary days. As they begin to get older and mature they expressed interest in attending school during their high school days.
Fortunately for them we relocated to another state so we put them in private school for 1 year to find out the states homeschool laws. Once we found out it was legal to homeschool we proceeded with homeschooling.
My oldest daughter graduated through homeschooling and was the first student to attend her college without taking the g.e.d exam because she had a diploma. We used the ABeka curriculum for high school so they would have a transcript from a school with accreditations.
By the time my other two were seniors and juniors in high school we relocated again and they decided to try for scholarship awards. Which they both received full scholarships with 4.6 gpa and 4.2 gpa.
You must also remember to honor their request as well. If they are mature enough to make decisions; 16 and older it is their future. I did not want to impede their growth potential for scholastic achievement since they expressed that concern. I do not know if homeschool students qualify for scholarships outside of the institutions of learning.
Every family is different. Your children will grow and mature and so will their needs. You may homeschool all the way through or you may use a combination. Whatever you decide always remember the results of the decisions is what the focus should be.
I hope you have much success!!!
