Many (many) years ago my sisters and I found our parents stash of Christmas presents in the basement... my parents were more upset than we were...My dad gave us a beautiful (and probably quite desperate) speech about the magic of Christmas and Santa always being in our hearts... I still believe in the magic of Christmas & Sanata, blah, blah, blah...but as I tell my 11 year old who doesn't really believe anymore but is afraid to say it out loud...it can't hurt to keep believing... You want to cover all your bases. In the overly grown up world...I want a little bit of magic for my kids...I need a little Santa...and by the way, if he tells his 7 year old sister about his "doubts", he's getting coal.
