Beauty Tips For Bad Days

We all have days where we feel (and look) a little bit below par. Even the most naturally beautiful women. Days where we wish we could just hide away and not have to grace anyone with our spotty, tired looking face. Unless you’re like me and work from home, this is however not an option for the majority of people. Not to worry though. There are some ways we can cheat the appearance of looking good on a bad day, even if we woke up this morning looking far from our best. Add some colour – The…See More

Your Age And Your Skin

Recently, I have talked a lot about skin. And for good reason – any beauty regimen should begin by taking good care of your skin. And the earlier that you begin to care for it, the better. This is so important as when we get older and use and abuse our bodies, the appearance and condition of our skin will begin to reflect our age and lifestyle. Skin tends to go through phases according to our age and if we know what to look out for, we can begin to take preventative steps to keep our skin…See More

The Properties And Benefits Of Argan Oil

There are so many different lotions and potions available to care for your hair and skin these days that it’s difficult to choose the right one. If you take a trip into your local drugstore, you will be greeted by row after row of shelves full of various products, all promising to work wonders and create miracles. I think really the only way to find out which products are right for you is to experiment and try for yourself. One of my favourites that I’ve been using for a while now is argan…See More

Is Beauty A 'Soft' Subject

I am new to blogging and upon discussing the content of my blog with a friend, they expressed their surprise that ‘someone so academic’ would be writing about a ‘soft’ subject like beauty. Now I wasn’t at all happy at this remark. Not only is it one of my passions and the topic that my whole blog is based on, but I also have numerous friends that are employed in the beauty industry in some way. I have friends who are professional makeup artists, beauty therapists, hairdressers and nail…See More

I'm Liz and I'm a wife, blogger, traveller and entrepreneur. My blog is a beauty blog that is entirely my own work including the concept, writing, editing and design. When I'm not blogging, my other interests include cooking, interior design, keeping fit, learning new things, photography and travel. And I love animals, particularly Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Ragdoll Cats. As well as my blog, I also run my own Younique cosmetics business. I'm a wife to a bricklayer called Nick and when I am not tapping away on my keyboard writing posts and taking photographs for my blog, you will find me at home working on my business or hanging around with the other most important person in my life - my mum.
What is your blogging philosophy?
The tagline to my blog is everyday beauty for everyday women. And that’s exactly what I am. An everyday woman. Just like you. I’m not a qualified beauty therapist, nor am I a trained makeup artist. What I am however, is a woman who has been a consumer of makeup and cosmetics for the past seventeen years. I am widely read on the subject of beauty and skincare and I hope that you will join me on my blogging journey and allow me to help you look like you – only better.
I have been blogging since...
