Symptoms to Take Notice of in Children

The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

The day you’ve dreamed of for years has finally arrived! Your little girl is all grown up and has chosen a partner to start her life with, and you are officially a MoB -- Mother of the Bride! While congratulatory remarks are appropriate at this juncture, so are a few…

How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
Just as my blog's title suggests, I am a single, middle-aged mother. More though, I am an African American adoptive mom of a great girl! I am enjoying my hobbies, my work, mothering, and writing my blog. My blog considers the light and the heavy, the serious and the stuff that makes you go, "Hmmmm...." I hope you'll read my blog.
What is your blogging philosophy?
Blogs are a great way to put your thinking out there for others to consider. They are a great way to start a conversation, or just come to understand your own thinking on issues that concern you. I don't use my blog as a daily diary. The diary stuff I share in phone conversations with my sister or in my private and personal journal that I write longhand. Because blogs are a bit of an impersonal space that we bend and reshape to become somewhat more personal, I think they are good places to share the perplexing and provocative thoughts we have, but not the intimate musings that require much more explanations face-to-face.
I have been blogging since...
