How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

How Due Date Calculators Can Change Your Pregnancy for the Better

"Playground Politics": Opinionated MAMA's Perspective on POLITICS

Started Sep 24, 2010 0 Replies

Primaries are BORING, right? Voter turnout is typically dismal in the United States, particularly inmid-term and primary elections.  No one cares…we go about our day, doing our thing and then we…Continue

I believe that moms can be a constructive voice in our country's most important conversations--with a little humor and a lot of common sense. Moms have important skills honed in motherhood that can be applied to the bigger issues, too...we have the most important job in America and we need to work together to get to the heart of the social and political issues that matter most to our kids...and our country. CHANGE BEGINS AT HOME.
What is your blogging philosophy?
We are linking the news & events of our time to the lessons we are teaching our kids at home....and reminding the adults, too. Yep, moms need to be the voice of reason and break through all the other non-sense. Constructive conversation cannot happen from either end of the political spectrum, it has to start with common sense principles we all know to be true. Moms know things aren't black & white, left & right...we know how to move an agenda forward and get things done. We're moms.

America's most opinionated moms have a lot of the answers already...they are reflected in the messages our moms and grandmas taught us and that we are passing on to our kids. CHANGE BEGINS AT HOME...and it starts with YOU!

I'LL BE THERE: What Lesson Should Be Learned From The Life & Death of Michael Jackson?

Posted on October 12, 2011 at 5:00pm 0 Comments

As we watch Michael Jackson’s family walk into the courthouse during the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, we are again reminded that our hopes and dreams are often wrapped up in our children…all they will do and all they will achieve.  How proud we’ll be.  The problem is that we’ve gotten so wrapped up in the infinite “checklist” of what they are doing, or should be doing, that we don’t really know HOW they are doing today, let alone who they’ll be and what they’ll be doing tomorrow. “My kids are…
