"MIndy, good question. You can teach writing at the community college level with a masters. I totally understand about tutoring and naps. I tried that for 2 years and it was a constant juggling show. It worked best when I got a babysitter so I…"

Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I'm a former elementary teacher who decided to resign at the end of last year to stay home with my daughter. I'm enjoying being a stay-at-home mom tremendously. I've got an amazing husband and two cute (but pain-in-the-butt) doggs, aside from my little angel. I'm truly content with my life right now.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I blog as a means of expressing my own thoughts, joys, vents, etc.--it's an outlet for me. I like the idea that a sense of community is built through blogging, as people come together who have a common ground. I like to see the humor in the experiences of life, so even in the gross or annoying parts of life, I'll try to find some humor in it. Overall, blogging is a means of sharing one's experiences with others to learn from, laugh at, or question---either way, I hope to give people something to think about.

Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. MIndy, good question. You can teach writing at the community college level with a masters. I totally understand about tutoring and naps. I tried that for 2 years and it was a constant juggling show. It worked best when I got a babysitter so I didn't have to worry about the kids waking up and ending my tutoring. I taught at a private Christian college and because I had connections and published writing they hired me as an adjunct. That was the best job I ever had.
