What To Post About On Your Mom Blog About Your Family’s RV Trip

If you run a mom blog, you should know full well that a family RV trip is far too big of an opportunity to pass up to write about.

In fact, you can probably get multiple posts out of a single RV trip, even if it’s only a quick…

The Importance of Dinner Together

Many mothers believe that the single most important activity you can do with your children is to read to them at night, help them with schoolwork to make sure they get good grades, or make sure they are always nearby.  …

Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I've been a mom for 5 years and an educator for nearly 17---5 years as a teacher and 12 as an administrator (principal, vice principal, director) in traditional public and public charter schools in grades K-high school in 3 states. While I don't have all the answers, I do have thoughts to offer based on my experience as an educator and as a mom. Currently, many of our friends have kids either in school or rapidly approaching school age. As I've had many parents ask for my opinion about a variety of school issues, it became clear to me that many parents, to no fault of their own, have no idea what schools are like now and are not sure where to turn for real, honest answers. So, consider me your insider princi-PAL.

I launched this blog to help parents understand things from an educator’s perspective, navigate a complicated education terrain, and hopefully shed some light on how to work best with educators while making informed decisions for their child. I do my best to paint a realistic picture of public schools.

This blog is by no means a product of scientific research. My thoughts and views are solely based upon conversations with teachers, fellow administrators, and parents over the course of the past 17 years (20 including college studies) of my career. I hope you’ll find something insightful and helpful by seeing an educator-mom's perspective.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I love blogging because it's a way to record my thoughts and then go back and read them years later to see how I've grown and changed. My personal blog is 5+ yrs old with over 1800 posts. It's so fun going back and seeing pics of the kids and read what my state of mind was then vs. now.
I have been blogging since...

Gift Ideas For Teacher, NOT Another Mug

Posted on June 1, 2012 at 2:00pm 0 Comments

During the course of my career as a teacher and school administrator, I've received my share of memorable gifts from students. And one of the first things I learned as a teacher is to appreciate each gift, regardless of what it is; although honestly, that didn't keep my teacher friends and me from having a little fun with some of the more unusual gifts we received. Since most of the gifts were given to us on the Friday before the winter holiday break, the other grade level teachers and I…

Greetings from the Tampa Bay :) My name is Lea, and I am the author of Mother Baby Child - http://motherbabychild.blogspot.com. I started this blog to share my experience in having a baby just before my 1st son was about to turn 18 years old, as well as what life is like as a married mom after being single for so many years. I also blog about Christianity, baby and child stages, homeschooling, ADHD, Autism, Blog Marketing, etc. I share a lot on that blog during the non-summer seasons.

I also have a new healthy lifestyle choices and weight loss blog - http://burnfatloseweightgetskinnyfeelgreat.blogspot.com - to accompany my Skinny Body business. I am working hard to complete the design of this new blog, so that I can provide valuable health lifestyle and weight loss information, as well as to share a solid opportunity for moms that want / need to make money by working at home.

I invite you to explore my blogs and provide your feedback.

I have GFC and my network links on both of them.

Now that my baby is older, I have more time to meet the moms. I am really excited about this!

I look forward to reading your blog and networking with you here at MBC :)

Hugs & Blessings!
