Nile Flores replied to Nikki DeLude's discussion 'Has anyone had any luck with monitizing with word press?' in the group Word Press Support Group
Angie & Lindsay - blogs with many topics CAN be monetized. ANY website out there has the potential to be monetized, but it is based on how much traffic and if your visitors actually click on the ads. If they do not click, then you are not making…

@Julie - transferring from Blogger to WordPress is not as hard as people think. I transfer a lot of people. The only thing Blogger does not allow is a redirect, so you would literally have to post an entry and inform all of your readers of the move.…

Saw your comment on moving from .com to org with WordPress. It is very easy. There may even be a free video tutorial at WordPress.tv too. However, I have helped quite a few people migrate over to their own self-hosted WordPress install.

Worrying, A Natural Parental Instinct

I was reading Worrywart, Yep That’s Me by Musings From Me and I can connect with her about how I worry about my own son. I wonder when if he is happy and what he is doing when he is not with me. I wonder if he is safe. I think for a lot of dedicated parents, it comes as a natural instinct. I do not want Angel to suffer. I had as a child and my family still has episodes where the past…See More

Fast Food, Not The Best Deal For A Family On The Road

Posted on October 22, 2009 at 4:23pm 1 Comment

This past weekend, my boyfriend took his son, my own son, and myself up to Springfield, Illinois. Along the way we ate breakfast at McDonalds on the road, and then later on we dined at a Chinese buffet. Until we were done and paid the bill, I realized something – McDonalds was becoming increasingly expensive to eat at, especially for families. (We went to the Chinese buffet, as my boyfriend knew they also had a sushi bar too.)

The Hardest Thing...

Posted on June 3, 2009 at 7:10pm 0 Comments

I have been divorced for over 2 years now. My son and I are quite close, but I had to do the hardest thing when I got divorced... I had to leave.

My ex-husband wanted the divorce and even wanted full custody. I did not allow it and went for joint custody. The problem was that when the divorce was going on, I was only 6 months into trying to get back on my feet. My ex wanted me to pay half of the house bills when he made 2 times more (nearly 50K). The other part was catching up to old… Continue

New to the Mommy Blog World

Posted on May 28, 2009 at 12:37am 0 Comments

I almost feel like I walked into a freshly carpeted place... still even has the new smell. That is my thoughts about treading into the Mommy blogger world. I have not many connections in the IRL / offline world because most of my friends are either just getting married or do not plan to have children for years. The rest, well..... not sure, I end up being the person they come to about advice, like I am some professional! Sorry, but that is far from the truth.

I actually grew up… Continue

Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. So if you get a chance to kick back and exhale, if only for a brief moment ... come on over and see me some time.
