That would be great. I would like it if you could give a little information about how and why music therapy is effective and who it would benefit. I really appreciate it. Nancy

I am a mom of two wonderful children and two little terriers that require just as much attention as my kids! I love music, photography, travel, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. I love reading other people's blogs and learning about what is important to them - plus I've gotten a lot of great infomation through blogs!!
What is your blogging philosophy?
I am a mom and Board Certified Music Therapist. I think all children are special and I have seen and experienced how music can be used to motivate, teach and inspire young children. My blog includes activities, instruments and resources that can be used by other mom's, teachers and therapists. The activities are appropriate for preschoolers, young children and children that have special needs including those with autism, cerebal palsy, Down syndrome, etc.

Hi Pam,

I haven't been active on MBC since school started back, but it has been on my mind to contact you. I saw that you recently wrote a guest blog and I am wondering if you would like to write one for my blog Milestone Mom I think it would be nice to offer a variety of information regarding treatment options. I think music plays a large role in helping children with disabilities and delays.

Hi Pam,
I am going to be adding more posts that pertain to school age children, and I am going to discuss sensory integration, autism, spectrum disorders, etc. in more detail. The next post is going to discuss behavior strategies which will be helpful to moms of school age kids from pre-K right through high school. I will also add some more sensory "tips" to help moms of older children.

Hi Pam,
I just posted a blog regarding the benefits of exercise for ADHD - also benefits of relaxation therapy. I used to work in a "locked unit" in a psychiatric hospital and saw first hand the benefits fo music therapy. Perhaps if you wanted to write something about music therapy and the benefits for ADHD it would be great. I could post your blog and link it back to your site.
