The Joy of Writing

I have had such a wonderful time writing over the last 20 years, but what I am doing now has really pushed everything up a notch. I write blogs on two websites, am involved in the writing an extraordinary book Resham's Journey ( A woman from Nepal who through intense hard work and determination now lives in Colorado and runs two restaurants of her own) which is her story and a beautiful 200 page full color cookbook from her restaurant. I am so impressed by her resilience and ability to keep…See More

I am the mother of two beautiful daughters who now have
3 beautiful babies of their own. I spend 4-6 hours a day during the week with my grandchildren. I was a teacher for learning disabled students for 23 years and I have been writing for over 15 years. I teach workshops for teachers to help them learn how to be happy and change education from a completely different perspective. I am also a Reiki Master and teach class once a month at my home in the Rocky Mountains.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I love to write and blog on both of my websites. I am just getting into the world of blogging beyond the people who follow me because of my books.

An Introduction To Mandalas for Children

Posted on April 17, 2016 at 12:54pm 0 Comments

Mandalas are wonderful. Our Universe is a giant mandala and I have discovered over the years the many benefits of painting or coloring mandalas either simply or in a complicated fashion. The benefits seem to be amazing and long lasting no matter what road you take. So I started using mandalas with children and it helps them focus, de-stress and relax very quickly. In this day and age of pressure and fast paced…

Thank you for your welcome, Patricia. I was also a special ed teacher, finishing at the university level and never knowing how to retire. Please visit my blog at www.grownmannow.com and you will see my son Billy, who is my hero, and the things we are involved in.

It's great to find a friend who is also passionate about teaching.

Welcome to Mom Blogger's Club! I hope you enjoy your time here and find it helpful! I know it can be overwhelming at first but I promise, you'll be a pro on here in no time! I write a blog called The Adventures of J-Man and MillerBug. It's a blog about my life with my two boys and I do some pretty cool giveaways (OK, I think they're cool! Do you?)

Every weekend I host the Finding New Friends Weekend Blog Hop. It's a great way to find new followers and friends as well as get to know more of your fellow mom bloggers. If you're not familiar with a blog hop, all you have to do is add your blog to the list. Participants then "hop" from blog to blog to find great new blogs! It's a ton of fun! I'd love to have you join us. It's going on now so come on over and link up! You can find it here:http://www.jmanandmillerbug.com/2011/10/finding-new-friends-weekend-blog-hop_27.html#more. Be sure to leave a messge if you join up so that I can follow you back!

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you with anything in your blogging journey! I look forward to being your friend!

My blog is kind of a one stop visit to light, witty and rather entertaining articles on health, beauty, fashion, parenting, relationships, awesome recipes and so much more. So if you get a chance to kick back, if only for a brief moment ... come on over  ~ kick off your shoes and stay for a while http://cynthiahelwig.blogspot.com
