Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. So if you get a chance to kick back and exhale, if only for a brief moment ... come on over and see me some time.

Oh! About 5 years ago, I was introduced to an organization called Compassion International. They help many children in many different countries. I decided that I wanted to get involved so I picked up the photo of a little girl who needed a sponsor from a booth C.I. had at a concert. Her name is Joreah. She was 2 when I started sponsoring her (sending money every month). I've received many letters from her and her Mom.
I don't remember off the top of my head the name of her village in the Philippines. I can look it up and let you know.
