Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
Hello! My name is Rosilind and I'm an American girl living in Croatia married to a Bosnian. We have two wee ones: a introverted toddler and an extroverted infant. On R & R you will read some of my deep thoughts, find recipes, discover how to eliminate chemicals, and see way too many pictures of my wee ones. So kick back with a cup o' joe and enjoy A Little R & R
What is your blogging philosophy?
My greatest desire for A Little R & R is that it be an encouragement to women - particularly mothers. Moms face unbelievable pressure to live up to an image that is often unattainable - or at the very least is difficult to attain. Women face fierce competition and fall into deep comparison traps. My desire is to gather as many women and moms as I can to join me on a journey of learning to be content with who we are and who God created us to be. I pray that women everywhere will find A Little R & R to be just that - a place to rest and relax. A place of encouragement and laughter. A place of joy and peace - where the love of Jesus is felt on every page.

With Robi I didn't get my milk in until he was 4 days old. It was a very stressful and negative situation that left us both hysterical. I cried more in those four days than I did during the following 12 months combined. However it didn't have to be that way. I know that now. After having Andrej I shared a room with a young c-section mom who didn't get her milk in for 4 days…See More
Have you ever met that perfect mom whose baby was on a perfect schedule, ate perfectly every 2 hours, slept perfectly practically all night, held its head perfectly practically from birth, perfectly reached every milestone, perfectly said "mama" and "dada" at 8 months, and perfectly counted to 10 at 18 months......and next to her you felt perfectly incompetent as a mom?Didn't you just want…See More
Co-Sleeping To co-sleep or not to co-sleep, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler to sleep betwixt mommy and daddy or to sleep in one's crib from day one. Oh, how I struggled with this. Robi mainly slept in his crib from the first day. I would wake up, take him to the livingroom or sit up in bed, and nurse him - until I grew…See More
When I saw this I had to take a picture! And then I knew - it is time for more stimulation. My 23 month old can fit all the pieces of his 3 wooden puzzles in the right spots with no help. He is analytical and methodical. He takes things out and likes to put them back in their proper spot (I just wish he would do this with his toys more often). So I've made some playdough…See More
