What's a Testimony?

Recently, a friend asked me to share my testimony. I was a taken aback. No one had ever asked me for my story before. Come to think of it, I wasn't so sure I had much of a story to tell. When I hear testimonies of how people had drastic circumstances that brought them to the Lord, I am usually in awe. Former gangsters, former drug dealers, former atheists, former prositutes, orphans, homeless...these are the people that have a testimony, right? I've done plenty of stupid stuff in my life, but…See More

Our No-Media Family Vacation (Complete with campfire recipe!)

Last week, we took our official annual family camping trip. Each summer, we take one trip to a California State Park that I deem “official”because it is with kids and without cell phones, laptops, or iPods. The only media we allow are cameras and Kindles (for capturing memories, and because we can keep all our books in one place). What I discovered on this trip was that three days of no Facebook updates, no check-ins, no Tweets and no notifications can actually be addicting. So much so, in…See More

Dreamers

My children auditioned for a guest spot on a national radio show last weekend. You'd think they'd just been "discovered" and offered a multi-million dollar movie contract! All they can talk about is how cool it will be if one of them gets the part. They'd get to go in an airplane for the first time, meet the other characters in the show, see new places, etc. Then my 12-year-old son goes on a tangent about how, when he's famous someday, he's going to buy a Dodge Viper. My 7-year-old daughter, in…See More

"Totally agree that feelings are choices! That's why the Bible says the heart is wicked and deceitful because we can't trust our feelings. We need to CHOOSE to feel differently! It's difficult, but not impossible. Thanks for that…"

Agape Love Through The Eyes of a Child

“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” ~Kahlil Gibran, The ProphetMy seven-year-old daughter often helps me in the manufacturing process in our small soap making business. The other afternoon, out of the blue, she came up to me and said, “Mom, I think we should give some of our soap to the homeless.”This is one of those moments in a parent’s life where light shines down from heaven, angels begin to sing, and an ethereal glow…See More

The Camping Bug

For some reason, this summer, I’ve caught the camping bug. I grew up with a love of the outdoors. From a very tender age, I would go camping, hunting and fishing with my dad. He taught my sister and I to love and respect nature…then to blow the little squirrels right out of the ground. (Hey, the other squirrels eat their deceased comrades, so we were really just feeding them from a distance!)Now that I am a grown adult with big-girl responsibilities, I don’t get as much time as I’d like to…See More

Love From Ashes

I peeked in on my son sleeping this morning, and was aghast at how tall he actually looked lying in bed. He is twelve years old, on the brink of his journey through Junior High, and I can hardly believe how much he's grown. I looked at his feet (now bigger than mine), and his hands (almost bigger than mine), and I thought, "These…See More

Greetings from the Tampa Bay :) My name is Lea, and I am the author of Mother Baby Child - http://motherbabychild.blogspot.com. I started this blog to share my experience in having a baby just before my 1st son was about to turn 18 years old, as well as what life is like as a married mom after being single for so many years. I also blog about Christianity, baby and child stages, homeschooling, ADHD, Autism, Blog Marketing, etc. I share a lot on that blog during the non-summer seasons.

I also have a new healthy lifestyle choices and weight loss blog - http://burnfatloseweightgetskinnyfeelgreat.blogspot.com - to accompany my Skinny Body business. I am working hard to complete the design of this new blog, so that I can provide valuable health lifestyle and weight loss information, as well as to share a solid opportunity for moms that want / need to make money by working at home.

I invite you to explore my blogs and provide your feedback.

I have GFC and my network links on both of them.

Now that my baby is older, I have more time to meet the moms. I am really excited about this!

I look forward to reading your blog and networking with you here at MBC :)

Hugs & Blessings!
