Share a little something about yourself with other moms.: I am proud to have lived my life with passion and to have “sucked the marrow out of life.” Whether following a newfound friend (a.k.a. stranger) through the streets of Kingston, Jamaica, or parasailing over a bull ring during a fight... I have always enjoyed each moment and tried to be a loving and positive influence in the lives of others along the way.

I was blessed to find my true love and best friend, Dustin, and become his wife. We are the parents of an amazingly independent and beautiful boy, Kieran, who was born June 22, 2008.

Being Kieran’s Mama is my greatest accomplishment and most driving passion. My daily goal is to fully soak in and celebrate the tiny and beautiful moments that make up our lives.

What is your blogging philosophy?: At our house, Mama Rule applies to the way things are... and are not. It is often a joke. Sometimes a hint. And every once in great while the embodiment of the old saying, “If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”

If you read regularly, you will find that MamaRule.com covers a multitude of passion points, parenting tips and odd quirks. Why, Mama Rule applies to everything from:

-- Natural parenting - bringing our baby into the world naturally and unmedicated, and being a self-proclaimed “lactivist,”
--Products I’ve tried and loved or loathed,
--A multitude of other interests and experiences - from volunteer work and yoga to event planning and new Etsy discoveries,
