If you’re on the internet a lot, you’ll realize that it’s filled with blogs of all shapes, sizes, and stripes. Many are utilized by businesses as a way of extending their brand and pulling in more customers. Others are just people who are taking advantage of a platform so that they can put…
Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
My name is Susan Newton. I am a creator, filled with a deep desire to love and need to make a positive impact and change upon this world. I've always beileved I can make a difference. I know I am a motivator. People wonder where I get my energy and I am honest and tell them I think it comes from Starbucks coffee and good chocolate.
I am passionate about the world, the environment in which we live, the future of all children, I am empathetic toward most (nearly all I'd say, but honestly there are a few...but even those - hmmmm... I do find compassion and forgiveness), I love Love LOVE my daughters who are 3 and 5 and want to teach them the best of everything so they can spread love and goodness into this world. I am married for 11 years.
I think I can do more within one day than is humanly possible. I do do do do do. I try to BE and it's still hard to find the time to just relax. What's BALANCE? When I do find it, you'll notice I'm on that massage table exhaling and loving every minute!
I am the designer/manufacturer of "The Original" upscale baby shower and bridal shower games and the (100% mom) owner of BadaBadaBingo Fun Games Co! LLC since 2002. (No, Patrick dear sweetheart honey I love you and you can't be partner in the business; but, you can work with me.) See, I had this idea and it took off. Like wildfire. My ideas (universally inspired / inspired by God / call it whatever you like) actually created a niche market for upscale trend-setting shower games.
I now teach women how to throw the best showers through media, events and online with my easy 3-step philosophy. I also shower celebrities and personalities with trendy shower packages and themes while I'm not busy creating new trend-setting games or publishing my monthly newsletter http://TheShowerDiva.com.
I am in the process of starting my own personal blog which will be announced soon. I look forward to being able to share many personal things I've held back on my professional blog.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I want to be able to share my real feelings and thoughts without having to hold back for fear of having it be crossing over the line of not being "professional" - I was given the advice from a corporate manager that my professional blog needs to stay on subject. So I've seen my passion start to come out in ways that have drifted off message of baby showers, bridal showers and bachelorette party tipes.
This is why I want to create a personal blog in that I can share with others.
I want to reach out to my friends and other moms (currently I'm really finding myself getting involved in the mom blogging community heavily) and I've been wanting to reach out more and more with coupons, ways to donate to charities, "how tos" and items that don't necessarily address the baby shower or bridal shower community. It's not appropriate on my professional blog; yet, I try to make the subject tie in somehow.
I have been blogging since...
2008 - Oh I'm such a newbie.... I'd love tips, patience and lots of your advice!

Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. So if you get a chance to kick back and exhale, if only for a brief moment ... come on over and see me some time.
