Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I am a 40 year old Christian mom who (unfortunately) works full time outside of home. I have started an etsy shop and go to various craft shows in the hopes of doing my crafts full time from HOME.
My kids range in age from a 21 year old son who recently joined the air force, a 20 year old son still living at home and attending college, sometimes, an 18 year old restless son who has moved in & out of home many many times...and then there is my 6 year old son who cracks me up on a daily basis. I did have a daughter who would be 11 years old, but she passed away when she was 6 from cancer.
My husband is a sports nut, BIG time, but I decided to keep him around anyways.
I am also recovering from a 25 year eating disorder that is allowing me to engage in my life 100% again.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I think blogging is a wonderful way to be a part of people's lives, to pray with them, cry with them and celebrate life with them. To be connected to a whole lot more people than what our busy lives allow for. I keep it real, honest, without giving too much away. I have a separate blog where I 'purge' the really personal stuff as a part of my recovery.
Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. So if you get a chance to kick back and exhale, if only for a brief moment ... come on over and see me some time.
I too am a recovering bulimic. Also Alcoholic and addict...yeah I was pretty much a mess!! Going on 3 months sober at the moment and spent 30 days in treatment for substance abuse. My eating disorder comes and goes (No idea how that is even possible) but it does..and I have been using the same tools I learned in treatment to deal with it. I started a group on here called "Moms recovering from addiction" I started it yesterday..pass the word....I hope we can all help each other in our struggles.
also here is the link to my blog:) www.ericawolf77.blogspot.com
I wanted to let you know that I am following you from MBC, "Under a 100 Followers" group. I am hoping when you get a chance you can follow me back at http://www.britneysbeautyblog.com and http://www.britneysbeautymark.com. Just go to my blog and save the St Jude button picture as is to your computer. Then go to your layout in your blog and pick a gadget, configure picture one, and add the St Jude picture. Leave http://www.tg.stjude.org/ in the link. Now you have one also.
I just joined the 100 followers group and found your comment about the neat backgrounds. I could do one for you if you like. I don't have my own business or anything but I have been doing my own backgrounds for a while now. You can check out my blog at www.onceuponamommy.com and email me at email@example.com if you're interested : ) It's actually something I really enjoy doing so it would be no problem to design one for you.
To get a new blog layout just use your search engine to search out templates such as "blogger templates" or even "free blogger templates". This will get you an entire theme. There are tons out there that are free or low cost. I see you have a new background but wanted to offer that to you anyways. Good luck!
Getting teens to open up is one of the most important tasks of parenting a teenager. It is also one of the most challenging parts of parenthood. If your teen rolls her eyes, walks away angrily, or retreats to his bedroom when you try to talk to him or her, you are not alone. Many parents…
