It wouldn't be summer if it wasn't busy at Dillon. We just finished Korea Camp, but this year that isn't the end of our season. We've added one more heritage camp opportunity with a African/Caribbean Heritage Weekend in Tulsa on August 6 and 7. Guatemala Weekend

It's March already and in the AEC last minute details for Guatemala Weekend are getting finalized. Ten families have registered so far, which means there will be at least 17 kids attending!
This year should be a blast. We're planning on learning more about Guatemala's culture and history as well as building and decorating our own Mayan temple! And will end the weekend with a celebration lunch.

Dillon International recognized many years ago the importance of celebrating our heritages, especially in a multi-cultural family. Over the past 25 years we have done our best to provide Heritage Camps and Weekends for kids of all ages to learn about the country that they were born in, where their siblings came from or where their family's heritage began. You don't need to be a Dillon family (or even an adoptive family) to join in the fun of our camps.

In the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake we have gotten thousands of calls from families wanting to open there home to children orphaned by the earthquake. If you are among them, I want to take a moment to thank you for opening your generous heart to someone so in need of love. All of us at Dillon are following the situation with aching hearts.

Dillon International has supported Hope Hospital and Children's Village in Port-au-Prince, Haiti for many years. Despite the horrible devastation following the earthquake that struck Haiti yesterday evening, we are thankful that the damage to both the hospital and orphanage is minimal and the staff and children are safe. Caring Hearts
We recently celebrated our 37th birthday here at Dillon. In 1972 our organization began by finding homes for 100 orphans from South Korea. We have grown and expanded since then, but our heart for the children has never wavered. To help with that mission several of our Caring Hearts groups held fundraising events in honor of our birthday.
