It's March already and in the AEC last minute details for Guatemala Weekend are getting finalized. Ten families have registered so far, which means there will be at least 17 kids attending!

This year should be a blast. We're planning on learning more about Guatemala's culture and history as well as building and decorating our own Mayan temple! And will end the weekend with a celebration lunch.

Over the past 25 years we have done our best to provide Heritage Camps and Weekends for kids of all ages to learn about the country that they were born in, where their siblings came from or where their family's heritage began. In the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake we have gotten thousands of calls from families wanting to open there home to children orphaned by the earthquake. Dillon International has supported Hope Hospital and Children's Village in Port-au-Prince, Haiti for many years. Despite the horrible devastation following the earthquake that struck Haiti yesterday evening, we are thankful that the damage to both the hospital and orphanage is minimal and the staff and children are safe.
